GTA 5 'Grand Theft Auto V' Preview Issue
The new GTA 5 magazine release date details have been provided for an upcoming Game Informer preview issue based on the new game. The "Grand Theft Auto V" game will be the magazine's feature story and the issue will include many details and images that have yet to be seen.
According to Game Informer, they will officially launch the magazine in digital form as of November 8th. They've noted that this will be a huge story, including more than 18 pages of "details and screens" about the upcoming title from Rockstar Games. The issue carries a cost of $4.99 and will be available for Android, iPad, and PC or Mac, while it's available free of charge to those who are already digital subscribers.
The print issue will hit newsstands on November 16, but with a digital issue available over a week earlier, it will give fans early insight into what the new "Grand Theft Auto 5" game will include. Up until now, the details given out by Rockstar Games have been very limited. There's been one trailer, a bunch of screenshots, and not much more given out. However, Game Informer was able to go preview the game themselves and should have plenty to share.
Fans are also hoping that the issue will include the official GTA 5 release date. Speculation has continued to hold that the game will be released in early 2013, most likely before March. It's possible that Game Informer will get the honor of announcing the date, or Rockstar Games may even make their own announcement in conjunction with the new issue, but that's speculation as well. Either way, just getting a lot of new information about the game that has yet to be revealed will make plenty of video games happy, and may even hold them over until the game is actually released.

Apple Posts 'Apology' to Samsung on U.K. Website
As required by a U.K. court, Apple has posted a notice on its website that says Samsung did not copy Cupertino with its Galaxy lineup of tablets and smartphones. Well, sort of.
In the notice, accessible via the "Samsung/Apple UK judgement" link on apple.co.uk, Apple acknowledges that the High Court of Justice of England and Wales found that that Galaxy Tab 10.1, Tab 8.9 and Tab 7.7 do not infringe on Apple's design patent for the iPad.
"The extreme simplicity of the Apple design is striking," the judge wrote. The Galaxy Tabs, though, "do not have the same understated and extreme simplicity which is possessed by the Apple design."
Apple concludes by pointing out that judges in Germany and the U.S. have ruled in Apple's favor on patent infringement cases involving Samsung.
Apple did not pen this note out the goodness of its heart, of course. In July, Judge Colin Birss of the High Court ordered Apple to post a note on its website and publish an ad in magazines and newspapers to say that Samsung did not rip off Apple when it designed its tablets. Not surprisingly, Apple was not pleased and appealed the decision, so its public apology was delayed. But the U.K.'s Court of Appeals last week upheld the lower court's decision. Apple has apparently decided not to take the issue to the U.K. Supreme Court, and posted the notice.
The full notice is below. Also check out PCMag's roundup of Apple's Most Notable Apologies.
Samsung / Apple UK judgment
On 9th July 2012 the High Court of Justice of England and Wales ruled that Samsung Electronic (UK) Limited's Galaxy Tablet Computer, namely the Galaxy Tab 10.1, Tab 8.9 and Tab 7.7 do not infringe Apple's registered design No. 0000181607-0001. A copy of the full judgment of the High court is available on the following linkwww.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWHC/Patents/2012/1882.html.
In the ruling, the judge made several important points comparing the designs of the Apple and Samsung products:
"The extreme simplicity of the Apple design is striking. Overall it has undecorated flat surfaces with a plate of glass on the front all the way out to a very thin rim and a blank back. There is a crisp edge around the rim and a combination of curves, both at the corners and the sides. The design looks like an object the informed user would want to pick up and hold. It is an understated, smooth and simple product. It is a cool design."
"The informed user's overall impression of each of the Samsung Galaxy Tablets is the following. From the front they belong to the family which includes the Apple design; but the Samsung products are very thin, almost insubstantial members of that family with unusual details on the back. They do not have the same understated and extreme simplicity which is possessed by the Apple design. They are not as cool."
That Judgment has effect throughout the European Union and was upheld by the Court of Appeal on 18 October 2012. A copy of the Court of Appeal's judgment is available on the following link www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWCA/Civ/2012/1339.html. There is no injunction in respect of the registered design in force anywhere in Europe.
However, in a case tried in Germany regarding the same patent, the court found that Samsung engaged in unfair competition by copying the iPad design. A U.S. jury also found Samsung guilty of infringing on Apple's design and utility patents, awarding over one billion U.S. dollars in damages to Apple Inc. So while the U.K. court did not find Samsung guilty of infringement, other courts have recognized that in the course of creating its Galaxy tablet, Samsung willfully copied Apple's far more popular iPad.
Facebook works on game quality, social to keep users from calling users
For Facebook, the name of the game is getting more social gaming hits, using word of mouth and the new App Center to recommend games to friends that will turn users to players to payers, as company executives said Thursday to reporters in Menlo Park
The name of the game right now for Facebook is making money, and there’s no question that games will play a large part of that.
“We need to make sure we have a greater set of games for a greater set of people,” said Alex Schultz, who works on user growth at Facebook. “It’s from users to gamers to payers. So how do we optimize that funnel?”
And the company is getting better at getting gamers to pay up, focusing their efforts on quality games and social games, company representatives said in a discussion with reporters Thursday at its Menlo Park headquarters.
Schultz said the company looks at revenue models and user activity for individual games in three ways: “Hit-based” games are those like Farmville or members of a franchise, which require the constant production of new versions to stay profitable (much like the Batman movies, he said), and tend to move slowly downward in active users over time.
Then the company has a “Success” category, which encompasses pretty solid games that grow slowly over time, a Facebook spokeswoman said, including games like Words with Friends or SongPop. But the category the company really wants to target is the “Awesome” category, which typically starts out strong, experiences a lull, and then grows rapidly, either through the release of a version for Android, or more likely through social word-of-mouth. They said Instagram has actually been a good example of an app with this kind of growth, and they’re hoping more games will soon display this kind of growth as well and keep users engaged.
Schultz emphasized once again Facebook’s push to mobile, which was a huge theme in the company’s earnings call Tuesday. All of those principles apply to games as well, which are slowly moving from desktop versions to mobile, or at least toward a platform that adapts and picks up on a variety of devices. He also said the App Center has been huge for Facebook’s gaming growth, connecting users with games their friends are playing without spamming someone’s newsfeed.
Over and over, Facebook’s gaming professionals referred to quality. Quality is what keeps users playing and engaged, and expands Facebook games to traditional gamers used to the deluxe console experience. Sean Ryan, who runs the games partnership team, said the bar has been raised so much higher than it was just a few years ago:
And finally, the company pointed to arcade games and “real money” games currently taking place overseas as areas where they expect to see growth going forward. They said they’ve seen arcade and “casual” gaming take off, moving into gaming groups like teenagers who haven’t typically adopted Facebook games yet:
How to upgrade to Windows 8 :
If you're upgrading a laptop, you must take note of your Wi-Fi passwords. Windows 8 will keep your settings, personal files, and programs if you upgrade from Windows 7. Vista and XP upgraders will have to re-install programs and reconfigure settings. , go to Microsoft's Windows 8 site. Scroll down to the offer and click "Get the details." It's $39.99 for the downloadable installer, or $69.99 to have them mail you a disc.
When you click on the Download Pro link, it will give to your computer a small "stub" installer. It's a 5 MB file that will run a compatibility check on your computer, tell you which programs will and won't work in Windows 8, and let you know if you have to uninstall any of them.
Until Windows 8 begins its installation, there's some babysitting required. After running the stub, it'll tell you how much of your current computer is compatible, and if there's anything you'll have to review. On the Toshiba Satellite running Windows 7 that I tested this on, I learned that Windows 8 is about as fond of bloatware as the rest of us: the upgrade process requested that I uninstall several Toshiba-branded programs.
The Windows 8 eagle has landed, which means that Microsoft's $39.99 in-place upgrade is now available. They've made it extremely easy to upgrade your computer from a Windows 7, Vista, or XP computer to Windows 8. Here's how it's done.
You don't have to stop everything to take care of them, though, because the Windows 8 installer will walk you through that process. After letting you know whether there are details that will require your attention, it asks Windows 7 upgraders what they'd like to keep of their settings, apps, and personal files.
After that, it asks you to buy the upgrade. The ordering process happens in the installer, too. Once you've paid by either credit card or PayPal, it will start downloading the 2 GB installer. You get a choice of installing immediately, installing later, or creating a USB key or disc from which to run the installer.
After that, it prompts you to remove any programs that cause conflicts on Windows 8, such as the aforementioned Toshiba-built software. It's clearly a nuanced process, though, as I wasn't required to uninstall all of it -- just four programs out of 11 conflicts. If you have to restart your computer, just double-click on the Windows 8 installation icon on your desktop and it will quickly find where it left off.
Once any conflicts are eliminated, Windows 8 will install. It's a surprisingly fast process, as long as you remember to babysit it at the beginning

Google Adsense Tips for Blogspot Bloggers (Blogger Bloggers)
Google Adsense Tips for Blogspot Bloggers (Blogger Bloggers)
- Add Your Main Key
word to Your Title Tag
Make sure that your main keyword for each of your 10-15 articles forms part of your title tag as this is important if your article is to rank highly in search engine results. If you can use two keywords or keyword phrases all the better. You will note that I have added three keywords in my title: make money,Google Adsense and Blogger. - Use the Main Keyword in the Body of Your Posts
Make sure you use the main keyword throughout the body of your article. Ensure that your main keyword appears in the first and last paragraph of your post. There are keyword density tools available to help you check the ratio of keywords used. - Make Sure You Tag Your Main Keyword
Tagging your main keyword and other keywords and keyword phrases is also important if readers are to find your article. Your posts will do better in search engine results if they are appropriately tagged. And of course the better your blog is search engine optimized the more traffic your blog will receive and the greater the potential for Google Adsense revenue. - Make Sure Your Blog is Search Engine Optimized
Optimize your Blogger blog by adjusting your title tags and adding meta tags for better SEO. SEO is important as it generates search engine traffic and building traffic is paramount for high earnings from Google Adsense. - Develop Backlinks for Your Blog
Some of the factors that determine how high your articles will appear in search engine results are backlinks and the age of your blog. If you have some good backlinks to highly ranked websites your blog articles are likely to be promoted in search engine results. Use blog directories, forums, and comment on other blogs in your niche to build a good range of backlinks. Submit your best articles to article directories to generate traffic and links. Also submitting your article to social bookmarking sites like Digg and StumbleUpon can provide backlinks and boost traffic at the same time - Give Your Old Blogger Posts a Keyword Makeover
Go back through your previous blog posts and identify posts that are not receiving a lot of traffic. Read through them and look for opportunities to rewrite small portions of the content to insert keywords and keyword phrases. Check the tags too and add any keywords and keyword phrases that may help to boost traffic. Identify any posts that need to be rewritten from a slightly different angle and with more scope for the addition of keywords - Publish Posts at Least 250-300 Words Long
Check the number of your articles Google has indexed. Shorter articles can often be missed out particularly if your blog is only recently created. Plus shorter articles do not give enough scope for Google Adsense to necessarily know what keywords to target when serving ads. - Optimize Google Adsense Placement, Size and Appearance
Some locations for Google Adsense work better than others. Make sure you read up on Google Adsense placement as this will ensure you make the most money from your Adsense ads.
Some Adsense ad unit sizes are better performers than others. My personal favorite is 336x280 ad unit which I use successfully on most of my blogs.
Consider the appearance of your Adsense ad unit. Blend it in or make it stand out the choice is yours. - ENJOY !!!

Major search engines lend a lot of weight to titles so it is important that you craft your post titles carefully. To optimize your post titles make them keyword rich and ensure the title clearly explains what the blog post is about. Try to put your keywords at the beginning of your title for best results and avoid repeating your keywords within the title. Avoid long titles as Google only displays about 65 characters in the search results anyway.
Title tags are important if your Blogger blog is to attract traffic and rank in search engine results. On your blog home page the blog title appears between the title tags while on each individual post page it is the name of the article itself. Malala recovering from injury
A protest in Islamabad on Wednesday condemning the attack on Malala Yousafzai.
After an emergency surgery in the dead of the night to remove the bullet that was endangering her life, the condition of 14-year-old Malala Yousafzai stabilised.
However, her security remained a cause for concern with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on Wednesday morning issuing a detailed justification for attempting to kill her.
Ms. Yousafzai — who was shot at and grievously injured by the TTP in Swat on Tuesday — was operated upon at night in the midst of preparations to shift her overseas for treatment. Late on Tuesday night, doctors at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Peshawar had advised that she be taken overseas and President Asif Ali Zardari had issued directions immediately for shifting her. Even after the surgery, the Pakistan International Airways had an air ambulance ready and waiting at the Peshawar airport to shift her to Dubai at short notice.
Amid continuing articulation of rage and disgust at the shooting of a teenaged girl who had spoken out against the Taliban through a diary written under a pseudonym, Chief of Army Staff Ashfaq Parvez Kayani visited CMH to enquire about Ms. Yousafzai’s condition. In a statement released after the visit, he said: “The cowards who attacked Malala and her fellow students have shown how low they can fall in their cruel ambition to impose their twisted ideology.”
Reiterating the nation’s resolve to fight terrorism, he added: “It is time we further unite and stand up to fight the propagators of such barbaric mindset and their sympathisers.”
The TTP, which claimed responsibility for the attack, said she had been targeted not for advocating girls education but for preaching secularism and enlightened moderation. It said education of girls must be based on the Shariah.
The National Assembly suspended the order of the day to discuss the attack on. Protests were held in various cities to condemn the targeting of a child who had represented hope for Pakistan because of the way she had spoken out against the Taliban when it had over-run the Swat valley.
All schools in Swat were shut in reaction to the shooting even as the incident prised open questions about the Army’s claim to have flushed out terrorists from the valley.
For the second day running, Ms. Yousafzai was trending on television and social media with many a Twitterati using her photograph as their profile picture to express solidarity with the teenaged beacon of hope and victim of the hate agenda; knowing full well that even if she recovers, her life would remain under threat.
