India’s External Affairs Minister SM Krishna, who is on a three day visit to neighboring Pakistan, said that India wants stable & prosperous Pakistan.
After arriving in the capital, Islamabad on Friday, he said that he brings “message of goodwill from India for the people of Pakistan”. He affirmed solutions for all issues can be found through peaceful dialogue.
High level officials of Foreign Ministry & the Indian High Commissioner in Islamabad Saharad Sabarwal was present at airport to receive Mr. Krishna in Islamabad. Mr. Krishna is expected to hold meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf & Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar during his visit the country.
He will hold discussions on progress made on various subjects including peace‚ security and confidence-building measures‚ Jammu and Kashmir‚ Siachen Glacier‚ Sir Creek‚ and economic cooperation. He will also co-chair plenary session of Pak-India Joint Commission with his Pakistan counterpart.
The two countries are expected to sign new agreements for improving trade ties and bring in new visa regime.
