How To Create A Boot able DVD/USB Flash Drive From ISO image

Step 1: Download and install (Windows7-USB-DVD-tool-exe)

Step 2: Download your desired Windows ISO image file.

Step 3: Run downloaded Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool.

Step 4: In the Source file box, type the name and path of your OS ISO file, or click Browser to select the file from your Computer.

Step 5: If you want to create a Bootable USB drive, then select the USB drive to create and copy of Windows installation media on a USB flash drive, or you can select the DVD to do the same an burn a bootable DVD disk, and click on Next.

Step 6: Insert USB external hard disk into USB port, or DVD disc into DVD writer/burner tray.

Step 7: If you want to copy the Windows file to USB drive, select USB device in the dropdown list and click Being copying. For DVD copying, click Being Burning.

Step 8: Now WUDT will format storage media on USB flash drive, and then do the rest of process.

Step 9: Once bootable USB device or DVD created successfully, user can install Windows 7 by navigating to the root of DVD or USB flash drive and double-clicking Setup.exe.

Install Windows 7 From USB Drive make bootable USB

I have found a easier way for How to install Windows 7 from a USB Flash drive ??. Unlike other methods where you have to write complicated commands, this method can be completed even by those who have very little computer background.
The whole process take only 2 steps, run UNetbootin, load the Windows 7 ISO file, and finally restart your computer. See how we installed Ubuntu from USB using UNetbootin here.

Before you begin, you will require the following 3 things :

1. USB Flash Drive (4GB minimum)
2. Windows 7 ISO Image file
3. UNetbootin

Note: If UNetbootin doesn not work, then try out the Microsoft’s official tool called Windows 7 USB/DVD Tool.

Now insert the USB drive, run UNetbootin, and select Disk Image as ISO. Browse your local drive for Windows 7 ISO that you downloaded and click Open. Now Select Type as USB and choose the drive. Once done, it will look like a bit similar to the screenshot shown below.

Click OK and it will begin extracting all installation files to the USB drive. The whole process will take time(10-13 minutes), so Be patience please... til it done

Once the installation is complete, reboot your computer. Now while your system is starting up press the appropriate button(usually F1, F2, F12, ESC, Backspace, or Escape) to bring up Bios Boot Menu. Change the start-up order to boot USB by default, usually you will have to press F6 to move the selected USB device on top. Once done, save changes and restart the system.

Pew survey: Mobile app users taking privacy considerations into account

According to the findings of a survey released earlier this week by the Pew Internet & American Life Project, nearly 57 percent of the participating mobile-phone app users said that they have either uninstalled a downloaded app or refused to install a new app because of privacy concerns.

The response of the participants came in Pew's new survey which chiefly assessed mobile phone users and privacy; with more than half of the respondents admitting that they have declined to download an available app due to concerns about the collection of their personal information or have deleted an earlier-installed app from their handsets.

Specifically, the Pew survey found that concerns about the amount of personal data which an app would potentially collect had led 54 percent of the study-participants to decide against the installation of an app; while the revelation about the information an already-installed app had actually collected prompted 30 percent of them to uninstall the app.

Noting that the findings of the Pew survey that "many app users are taking privacy considerations into account" have come at a time when there has been a steady increase in the use of mobile apps, Pew's senior research specialist Mary Madden said that the survey has noteworthy implications for the mobile industry.

About the survey's findings, Madden said in an email: "This data suggests that the way personal information is shared or collected by an app can make or break a user's decision to download or otherwise engage with that application."

Japanese deep sea drilling vessel world record

Chikyu, a new Japanese deep sea drilling vessel has created a new world record by drilling more than 2,111 meters below the seafloor in order to collect rock samples.

Chikyu is currently located off Shimokita Peninsula of Japan in the northwest Pacific Ocean. It is a part of the Deep Coalbed Biosphere expedition, which is aimed at collecting high quality coal samples that stored deep below the ocean floor.

The researchers believe that the samples collected from deep below the ocean bed will allow them to increase understanding of life associated with hydrocarbon system deep beneath the ocean. The scientists will be able to study nature of life and Earth through the high quality samples.

Fumio Inagaki, co-chief scientist for the expedition said, “We have just opened a window to the new era of scientific ocean drilling. The extended record is just a beginning for the Chikyu. This scientific vessel has tremendous potentials to explore very deep realms that humans have never studied before.”

The vessel is capable of drilling much deeper, to about 10,000 meters below sea level, according to the team. It can reach to Earth's mantle, the plate boundary seisomogenic zones and the deep biosphere for gathering samples.

India’s External Affairs Minister SM Krishna, who is on a three day visit to neighboring Pakistan, said that India wants stable & prosperous Pakistan.

After arriving in the capital, Islamabad on Friday, he said that he brings “message of goodwill from India for the people of Pakistan”. He affirmed solutions for all issues can be found through peaceful dialogue.

High level officials of Foreign Ministry & the Indian High Commissioner in Islamabad Saharad Sabarwal was present at airport to receive Mr. Krishna in Islamabad. Mr. Krishna is expected to hold meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf & Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar during his visit the country.

He will hold discussions on progress made on various subjects including peace‚ security and confidence-building measures‚ Jammu and Kashmir‚ Siachen Glacier‚ Sir Creek‚ and economic cooperation. He will also co-chair plenary session of Pak-India Joint Commission with his Pakistan counterpart.

The two countries are expected to sign new agreements for improving trade ties and bring in new visa regime.
